Four masters, no rules and no repeats.

What happens when a First Nations vocalist and yidaki virtuoso, a beloved rock drummer, a world-renowned jazz multi-instrumentalist and a polymath pianist walk into a concert hall? The Others, that’s what.

Paul Grabowsky, James Morrison, William Barton and Spiderbait’s rock god Kram have just two rules. First, no discussion before a concert about what they will play. Second, absolutely no rehearsing. Instead, each performance unfolds in the moment, as four mismatched-on-paper masters respond instinctively to what they hear.

Their wildly different musical worlds collide in spontaneous compositions that can be jarring, heartachingly melodic and utterly joyful. It’s a rare musical experiment that’s as enchanting as it is unpredictable.

This Sydney Festival, experience four extraordinary artists at their spontaneous best - and the thrill of a performance that will never be repeated.
