Revered sonic trailblazers and one of Australia’s great cult bands, The Necks, embark on their Australian tour in early 2025 to celebrate the release of their 20th studio album, Bleed.

Bleed features a singular, 42-minute composition that explores the sublime language of stillness. Adding to their vast body of work with a totally distinct entry, The Necks’ masterfully express the unspeakable beauty of decay and space. According to bassist Lloyd Swanton, it’s "easily the stillest album we've ever done."

Having begun as a private jamming project over 30 years ago, The Necks are now in high demand worldwide and seeing the band live is an experience like no other. Dubbed “the greatest trio on earth” by The New York Times, Chris Abrahams (piano), Lloyd Swanton (bass), and Tony Buck (drums/percussion) take to the stage with no prior preparation and embark on an exploration of a simple musical idea, gradually evolving their pieces—which can extend for an hour or more—conjuring textures and aural illusions that defy easy description.

‘The Necks transmute a procession of simply stated moments into something transcendent. Bleed is more about wayward drift than some of The Necks' most-loved albums, but there's tenderness in its seeming austerity, and beauty in its chill.’ UNCUT

‘The Necks have become, and remain, one of the most arresting and sophisticated bands on the planet.’ The Quietus
