A true triple threat, the Nigerian-born, London-based musician Obongjayar pens stirring and spiritual lyrics with a distinctive voice that flits between rap, song and spoken word. Melding afrobeats, soul, rock and hip-hop influences, he has created a bold genre-defiant musicality.
2022 saw Obongjayar release his debut album Some Nights I Dream of Doors to critical acclaim across the board, and capped it all off with an electrifying UK tour including a sold out headline show at London’s KOKO, and a triumphant headline appearance at Art X Festival in Lagos.
However, arriving at Some Nights I Dream Of Doors has been a life-long journey – from his childhood spent listening to US rap music in Calabar, Nigeria, to the release of God’s Own Children, for which OB won “Best Song Musically and Lyrically” at the Ivor Novello awards, followed by a year of huge collaborations with Little Simz, Pa Salieu and Nigerian super-producer Sarz – Obongjayar truly reached his destination having meticulously honed his craft and comes armed with answers to some of the questions he’d spent his young career asking.

Supporting Obongjayar is CINTA.
A rich harmonic pallet and intriguing textures entwined, lyrically Cinta flows freely and philosophically seeking instead to refine her questions of the world rather than force insufficient or dogmatic answers. Hypnotic optimism pervades Cinta’s songs, offering listeners an empathetic hand in which to hold as we navigate a world of ever-increasing loneliness.

And Agung Mango.
Debuting in 2017, Agung Mango quickly established himself as one of the most exciting artists to bubble up from Australia’s underground rap scene. Gritty, brash and completely unbounded, Mango’s music pushes the sonic limits of what we’ve come to know locally, drawing on experimental rap, punk, jazz and alternative R&B.
On the mic, he channels the ferocious presence of artists Denzel Curry and the unapologetic, punk posturing of slowthai, but stands apart from his contemporaries, demonstrating an ability to move through flows, cadences and genres like no one else. Since first emerging under previous moniker Son of Agung, he has released a slew of standalone singles, including TOUGHSKIN and RODENT, as well as a collaborative EP with local crew 3K and a debut EP featuring Genesis Owusu released in 2022.
These releases have seen Mango’s mainstream stature rise steadily, leading to appearances at Laneway Festival, Spilt Milk and Golden Plains. He has supported Wiki, Milan Ring, as well as a national tour supporting Genesis Owusu, and has been praised from triple J as their Unearthed Feature Artist.
