Australian singer-songwriter Gordi, the musical moniker of Sophie Payten, blends lush electronics with introspective songwriting. Immersing herself with writing music in a Sydney college dorm room, her music career quickly began to show promise, receiving attention after playing independently across Sydney and releasing tracks through Triple J Unearthed. Her debut EP Clever Disguise made waves in 2016, followed by an acclaimed full-length album, Reservoir, in 2017, and an ARIA-nominated album Our Two Skins, in mid-2020. Over her career, she’s worked with the likes of Sam Smith, Fleet Foxes, Ásgeir, Bon Iver, Troye Sivan and Alex Lahey. Her work has captivated audiences with its soul-bearing honesty through Gordi's quest of self-discovery, grappling with identity, sexuality and liberation.
Her first single of 2023, Broke Scene, is a dreamy, bass-driven track produced alongside Ethan Gruska (Sky Ferreira, Phoebe Bridgers, Bon Iver) and mixed with Jon Low (Gracie Abrams, The National, Taylor Swift). Inspired by a post-yum cha fever dream (yes, really), Broke Scene asks “can you see, you’re burning your house down?”

Supporting Gordi is Bonniesongs.
Art-folk virtuoso Bonniesongs, aka Bonnie Stewart, released her debut album Energetic Mind in September 2019 via Small Pond and Art As Catharsis. The album has garnered international radio plays from BBC Radio 6, Triple J, FBi Radio, and RTRFM, as well as press coverage from Paste Magazine, London In Stereo, The Line of Best Fit, CLASH, Tone Deaf, Everything Is Noise, Overdrive Magazine, and a host more. Bonnie’s lilting vocals float over gentle peaks of acoustic and electronic instruments, layered ethereally into what may be a moderately enchanted loop pedal. Under the spell of thrumming guitar, Stewart renders her arrangements with a fidelity of performance that seems to amplify an almost spectral presence. This is Bonniesongs. She’ll play loudly whilst making you ridiculously aware of silence and then go some way to reminding you how music is at its most basic, mere vibration moving through air, occupying the same molecular space as the incorporeal. Bonnie’s ethereal qualities beguile you into a dreamlike trance in the style of contemporary folk/alternative artists such as Joanna Newsom and Bjork.
