With their potent combination of bruising post-punk rock, guttural vocals and tough, tender songwriting, Melbourne’s Cash Savage and The Last Drinks have earned a reputation as one of Australia’s most ferocious live acts.

With their latest album, So This Is Love, garnering some of the best reviews of their career, they head to Sydney for what will be one of the shows of the summer.

Former in 2008 by singer and guitarist Cash Savage, the band’s 2010 debut Wolf introduced their brand of driving, emotionally raw post-punk rock. They crystallised that sound on 2013’s breakthrough The Hypnotiser, which earned widespread critical acclaim. Upon signing to Mistletone, they continued their success with One of Us (2017) and Good Citizens (2018) and delivered a powerful lockdown performance later released as Live at Hamer Hall (2020).

2023’s So This Is Love confirmed the band’s spot as one of the rock powerhouses in the nation, with The Guardian praising the album for its tension, tenderness and political fury.
