Tributes & Legacies
Selby & Friends
- Classical Music
A booking fee of $8.50 per transaction applies
This closing program for the 2022 Selby & Friends season is all about the strength of legacy and the tributes it brought forth from each composer.
The program begins with a piano work by Ravel, created as a tribute to the early French composer Couperin which was then arranged beautifully for piano trio by American composer Matt van Brink. Mendelssohn incorporates his own tributes to the legacy left by Bach in his fiery and passionate second piano trio and we end the season with Schumann’s glowing and soulful first piano trio with its inclusions of special personal significance for him of his wife, Clara Schumann.
Natsuko Yoshimoto and Richard Narroway are two stunning performers who will work together for the first time in this lustrous final program for the year with Artistic Director/Pianist, Kathryn Selby AM.
